Pratik’s hard work seems to have gone down the drain. The actor, who had been working out regularly for the muscular look, has stopped going to the gym altogether, thanks to producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He has asked Pratik to lose weight and muscle for Raghav Dar’s My Friend Pinto.
A source says, “At a recent social get-together, Pratik’s changed physical appearance was a hot topic of conversation. When the actor walked in dressed in a blazer, he looked shrunk. He had lost a considerable amount of weight. This look is a drastic change from his earlier physical appearance. Just last month, at another event, the actor had a bulky, muscular body. This extreme change in his physical appearance was unbelievable and that too in such a short span of time.”
The change in appearance is a result of giving up on gymming. The source adds, “Pratik has been instructed by Bhansali sir to lose the muscles. This is to get into the skin of the character. It has been over a month since he stopped going to the gym. Instead, he has been attending workshops for Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian form of dance. This dance form is quite acrobatic and has helped him achieve the skinny look for his character in the film, where he plays a complete nerd.”
A source from the unit confirms, “Pratik plays a small time boy from Goa and has been asked to lose weight for the role.” Pratik remained unavailable for comment.
